Published in the New York Times

I was officially published today. This is a major milestone for me and I feel very privileged to be the first to say my piece in The New York Times. I’ve been writing for years and wanted this opportunity for so long. It’s a great honour and I’m thrilled. Now, you guys can read it on the web and buy it (which they’re doing!). Here s a little taste of the article: I was officially published today. This is a major milestone for me and I feel very privileged to be the first to say my piece in The New York Times. Here s a little taste of the article:

The good folks at the  New York Times have given me a large amount of exposure, and I’d like to thank them for giving me this opportunity. The article has appeared in the latest edition of The New York Times Magazine, and is available globally, through applications such as  Flipboard . I also wanted to mention that this was also published on their mobile app, which is a big deal because mobile sales are expected to be equal to desktop sales by 2016. And apparently, my article has a feature photo by the legendary photographer  Andrew Phelps, some guy that I’ve long admired.

This is the first time I’ve had an article published, and I’m honored to have that opportunity. My article “Life on the Road; a story of a traveling photographer” has been published in the most recent edition of The New York Times Magazine. You know what’s even better? This was one of the articles I wrote when I was a student at Columbia University in New York. It took me several years of writing to get it ready and to understand how to write for an audience that doesn’t know you and whose reading style is very different from what I’m used to writing. Nowadays this is getting easier, so be patient!

There’s nothing more exciting than knowing you’ve done something well and having it recognized by someone else. That’s exactly what happened to me this week when an article I wrote as a college student was published in The New York Times Magazine. It took me five years of hard work to get it right but now my dream has come true!

My article “Life on the Road; a story of a travelling photographer” from the December 15th Edition of The New York Times Magazine has been published in the print edition today, so nice to see my name in print!
